The Feedback Pod at the recent Lancaster University Volunteering Unit's 'Voltage' Presentation Event was used by participants of the initiative to record their thoughts, feelings, compliments and comments on how they felt about their involvement.The Voltage initiative has the strap line ' Switch yourself on' and from the young people that we spoke to it was evident that they had done just that.
Bright young people form many colleges in the area who had come together into teams to run their very own businesses - many with no prior experience of doing so - for a one month period.
Aiming to make profits which were given to charity the teams learned all about leadership, team working, design promotion, innovating, changing direction and more.
The pod managed to capture the essence of many of the skills that had been learns and lots of fun and excitement of being a part of it all.
We were delighted to have had the opportunity to have been a part of this and look forward to the prospect of working with the very professional team from Lancaster University's Volunteering unit again in the near future.
